A cylinder is inscribed inside of a square prism so that touches each face of the rectangle or prism. The empty space outside of

the cylinder, but inside of the prism is to be filled with a liquid epoxy. If the cylinder has a circumference of 84.78 cm and the writing either prism is 40 cm tall, how many cubic centimeters of epoxy will be required to completely fill the empty spaces?

To solve take  (Volume of Prism) - (Volume of Cylinder) = Epoxy

<span>V=(Area of base)(height)
</span>
Both they Cylinder and prism have a height of 40 inches
we can find the sides of the base of the prism by finding the diameter of the cylinder.

C=πd    so  84.78 = πd.

Divide both sides by Pi (3.14)
\frac{84.78}{3.14} = 27

Half of the diameter is the radius to find the area of the cylinder base. 27/2=13.5

The volume of Prism is found by
V=l*w*h

 27*27*40 = 29160 sq cm

The volume of cylinder is found by
V= \pi r^{2}h

using  3.14* 13.5^{2}*40 = 22890.6

29160 - 22890.6 = 6269.4 cubic centimeters

Which of the following is the area of a quadrilateral with vertices at (-4,2),(1,2),(1,-3) and (-4,-3)
kow [346]

Answer:

The correct option is B.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given vertices are (-4,2),(1,2),(1,-3) and (-4,-3).

Plot these point on a coordinate plate. From the graph it is noticed that the given quadrilateral is a square.

Distance formula:

d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Use distance formula to find the side length.

AB=\sqrt{(1-(-4))^2+(2-2)^2}=\sqrt{5^2}=5

BC=\sqrt{(1-1)^2+(-3-2)^2}=\sqrt{(25}=5

Since both consecutive sides are equal therefore it is a square.

Area of a square is

A=a^2

Where, a is side length.

The side length of the square is 5. So, area of ABCD is

A=(5)^2

A=25

Therefore the area of quadrilateral is 25 units square. Option B is correct.

Graph the function y = __ 2x
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

Well, if <em>y </em>is 1

Then the equation would be y = 1 (2x)

So, depending on the answer options. Y would be double of whatever the X value is.

See how 1 X value is worth 2 Y?
