Find the missing angle (a)

Answer:

a= \frac{7\sqrt{2} }{4}cm

solve with law of sines:

just to be clear, it looks like a is a side length here, not an angle

law of sines says that a (side length)/ (sine of angle opposite to side) is equal to another (side length)/ (sine of its opposite angle)

in this triangle you see you have one known ratio that is the 3.5 cm opposite to the right angle which is 90 degrees

3.5/ sin 90

note: sin 90 =1

then with the unknown side a

a/ sin 45

note: sin 45 = \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}

and these ratios are equal according to law of sine

3.5/ sin 90= a/ sin 45

3.5/ 1 = a/ \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}

3.5= a\sqrt{2}

a= 3.5/ \sqrt{2}

rationalize

=\frac{7\sqrt{2}}{4}cm

hope this helps!! gl

A banquet caterer has 4636 dishes of the same pattern in inventory. If there are 7 dishes per place setting, how many place sett
tino4ka555 [31]
Hi. In order to solve this, we simply need to divide. Let's start with what we know.

The caterer has 4,636 dishes
There are 7 dishes per place setting

To find out how many place settings there are, we divide 7 into 4,636, which gives us 662 with a remainder of 2.

I am attaching an image so you can see how it is worked out.

I hope it helps.

Take care,
Diana

The radius of a cylinder construction pipe is 2 feet. If the pipe is 21 feet long, what is its volume?
DaniilM [7]

Answer:

The volume of a cylinder equals

PI * radius^2 * height

Volume = PI * 2^2 * 21

Volume = 3.14159 * 4 * 21

Volume = 3.14159 * 4 * 21

equals 263.89 cubic feet

Desire <br> Help me with this quistion
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:

The value of n is 11 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the area of rectangle from is A = length×width so we have to substitute the variables into the formula in order to find n :

area = length \times width

Let area = 33,

Let length = n,

Let width = 3,

33 = n \times 3

3n = 33

n = 33 \div 3

n = 11 \: feet
