Order the sides of each triangle from shortest to longest.

Mathematics

Answer:

XV , WX , VW

Step-by-step explanation:

The angles in a triangle correspond, regarding size, with their opposite side lengths. More specifically the largest angle in a triangle is opposite of the longest side as well as the smallest angle being opposite from the shortest side.

the largest angle ( angle X ) is opposite of side length WV therefore WV is the longest side.

The smallest angle ( angle W ) is opposite of side XV therefore side XV is the smallest side

We're then left with side WX which would be the medium lengthed side.

So in order from shortest to longest it would be XV , WX , VW

What is the value for the missing angle ??
allsm [11]
Answer: 9 inches.
Do the pythagorean theorem to find your answer.
Formula: a^2 + b^2 = c2
12 = b
15 = c
a^2 + 12^2 = 15^2
Simplify the equation
a^2 + 144 = 225
Subtract 144 on both sides.
a^2 = 81
Square root of 81 is 9.

Can you think of any 2x2 matrices d for which cd = dc for all 2x2 matrices c? give 2 different examples of such matricesd.
Ksju [112]
For any arbitrary 2x2 matrices \mathbf C and \mathbf D, only one choice of \mathbf D exists to satisfy \mathbf{CD}=\mathbf{DC}, which is the identity matrix.

There is no other matrix that would work unless we place some more restrictions on \mathbf C. One such restriction would be to ensure that \mathbf C is not singular, or its determinant is non-zero. Then this matrix has an inverse, and taking \mathbf D=\mathbf C^{-1} we'd get equality.
