1 5/6 3= 2 6/6 and then subtract 1 1/6 and get 1 5/6

Step-by-step explanation:

last week they ate 1 1/6 = 6/6 + 1/7 = 7/6 cartons.

this week they ate 3 = 3×6/6 = 18/6 cartons.

so, how much more did they eat ?

it is not fully clear to me, if we need to find the absolute difference in cartons, or if we need the factor between both amounts (like "how many times did they eat more ?").

to be safe I give you both.

in absolute difference :

18/6 - 7/6 = 11/6 cartons = 1 5/6 cartons more.

as factor :

7/6 × x = 18/6

7x = 18

x = 18/7

they ate 18/7 = 2 4/7 times more

3/7(b+2)-6/7(b-2)=<br>CAN SOMEONE HELP SOLVE?
____ [38]

3/7(b+2)-6/7(b-2)=

\frac{3}{7(b+2)} -\frac{6}{7(b-2)}

Here we find lcd first

lcd = 7(b+2)(b-2)

converting into lcd form we get,

\frac{3(b-2)}{7(b+2)(b-2)} -\frac{6(b+2)}{7(b-2)(b+2)}

=\frac{(3b-6)}{7(b+2)(b-2)} -\frac{(6b+12)}{7(b-2)(b+2)}

=\frac{3b-6-6b-12}{7(b+2)(b-2)}

=\frac{-3b-18}{7(b+2)(b-2)}

Simplify the expression. the quantity x to the three halves power end quantity to the power of 6
Yuki888 [10]

Answer:

x^9

Step-by-step explanation:

The rule of exponents that applies is ...

(a^b)^c = a^(b·c)

For your problem, you have a=x, b=(3/2), c=6, so ...

(x^(3/2))^6 = x^(3/2·6) = x^9
