Pls help! In a paragraph, explain the effects of the Crusades on the Christian and Islamic worlds. In your assignment,
Butoxors [25]

Because of the Crusades, the Christian as well as the Islamic world had 360 degrees changes and negative long-term effects. Before the crusades most of Christians were pacifists and regard Jesus Christ as the Prince of peace; but due to the Crusades, Christians' posture about violence totally changed. From their perspective violence could be justified if it was used just in wars to defend their church and God's mandates. Although at first, the Crusades were used in order for Christian pilgrimages to access the Holy city of Jerusalem, which was something good because the Muslims had taken control over the city and didn't let them in. Later on, the Crusaders lost their original path and promoted religious warfare for two and half centuries committing pillaging, murder among other atrocities not only against Muslims but also against any other vulnerable minorities.

Crusades also helped to elevate the authority of the papacy as the authoritative spiritual and temporal power in Europe before the emergence of the nation-states.  Nowadays, because of the way Crusades develop most Muslims regard them as cruel and savage onslaughts by European Christians.

Why did truman decide to use the atomic bomb against japan? do you think he did the right thing?
Cloud [144]
He used the atomic bomb against Japan because they were one of the world's major powers. They quickly industrialized and imperalized countries bigger than their own but USA didn't have that kind of firepower but we had bombs to drop with huge explosive power and Japan wasn't ready for that. Think to yourself and say what if Japan imperalized my country were or who would I be now

How did the balance of power in Europe shift as a result of World War One
shepuryov [24]

Answer:

The balance shifted in many ways both economic and political.

Before the war, Germany, Russia, and Austria had their empires. After the war Austria-Hungary was ended, Germany lost territory and was no longer a world power and was ruined, and Russia stopped being an Empire and became USSR. There was a new nation called Yugoslavia and many people in Europe started to get influenced by communism. France emerged as a proud victor from the war and along with Britain was the dominant force in Europe.
