Answer: I don't know

Step-by-step explanation: Jk, the answer is X = 3 or 1/3
/ = Fraction
^ = Power-of
* = Multiply
Move all the terms to the left then multiply the parentheses:
(5x+3) (10-2) - (7x) * (8x) = 0
(50x^2-10x+30x-6)-7x*88x
Then multiply variables:
(50x^2-10x+30x-6)-56x^=0
Now add all the numbers together:
6x^2+20x-6=0
= 256x
Use the following formula:
x1=−b−Δ√2a
x2=−b+Δ√2a
Set up the problem:
√ =√256=16
Part 1: -20-16/2x-6 = -36/-12 = 3
Part 2: -20+16/2x-6 = -4/-12 = 1/3

Many charities sponsor foot races to raise money a popular race 5000 meters what is this distance in mile? 1000 meters 0.6 mile
Gre4nikov [31]

Step-by-step explanation:

1000 meters are 0.6 miles.

how many miles are then 5000 meters ?

5000 meters is 5 times 1000 meters.

so, 5000 meters = 5×0.6 miles = 3 miles.

The cost of 6 sandwiches and 4 drinks is $53. The code of 4 sandwiches and 6 drinks is $47. How much does one sandwich cost?
Annette [7]

Answer:

$6.50

Step-by-step explanation:

SET UP A SYSTEM OF EQUATIONS WHERE SANDWHICHES IS REPRESENTED BY S AND DRINKS BY D:

6S+4D = 53

4S+6D=47

ADD THEM TOGETHER

10S+10D=100

SOLVE FOR D

10D = 100 - 10S

D = 10-S

SUBSTITUTE THAT VALUE INTO ONE OF THE ORIGINAL EQUATIONS

4S + 6(10-S) = 47

4S + 60 - 6S = 47

COMBINE LIKE TERMS

-2S + 60 = 47

SUBTRACT 60 FROM BOTH SIDES

-2S = -13

DIVIDE BY -2

S = 13/2

S = $6.50

403010Pa2 4 8 10Number of ticketsThe graph shows the cost of buying raffle tickets.19. write an equation shows the cost y in ter
Lana71 [14]
Simple..

you have y which is the cost of the tickets..and you have x which is the number of tickets..

So, you have those points on the graph....find an equation!

Take any of those coordinates..and find the equation of the line...in the form of y=mx+b

(2,10) and (5,25)

Using: \frac{ y_{1}- y_{2}  }{ x_{1}- x_{2}  }

\frac{10-25}{2-5} = \frac{-15}{-3} =5

Thus, you know your slope. m=5

But, remember it's in the form of y=mx+b

So, use any of the coordinates...let's use (2,10)

10=5(2)+b

10=10+b

0=b

Thus, your equation is... y=5x

Thus, your answer.

Information about movie ticket sales was printed in a movie magazine. in a sample of of fifty pg-rated movies, 36% had ticket sa
natima [27]

Let us say that the samples for fifty movies is 1 and samples for thirty five is 2. To solve the test statistic z, we can use the formula:

z = (p1 – p2) / sqrt [p (1 – p) (1 / n1 + 1 / n2)]

Where,

p1 = is the proportion for sample 1 = 0.36

p2 = is the proportion for sample 2 = 0.23

n1 = number of samples = 50

n2 = number of samples = 35

while p can be calculated using the formula:

p = [p1 * n1 / (n1 + n2)] + [p2 * n2 / (n1 + n2)]

p = [0.36 * 50 / (50 + 35)] + [0.23 * 35 / (50 + 35)]

p = 0.211764705 + 0.094705882

p = 0.306470587

Going back for the calculation of z:

z = (0.36 – 0.23) / sqrt [0.306 (1 – 0.306) (1 / 50 + 1 / 35)]

z = 1.279

Therefore the nearest answer is:

z = 1.29
