An independednt variable is a variable that doesnt need any support Dependent is where there is variable, but it depends on something else.

For example,

y=2x+1

y is dependent, becuase it depend on 2x+1

x is independent, beucase it doesnt need to depend on anything.

Answer:

Lets say that we have an equation. You get 10 dollars for every hour you work. x = how many hours worked, and s = your salary for each hour

example equation
10x = S.

S will be the DEPENDENT variable and X is the INDEPENDENT variable. Why? Because your salary depends on how many hours you worked. If you work for 5 hours, you get $50. Its not like your boss gives you the $50 and like "work for 5 hours". thats not how it works lol

Hope this helped :)

Theresa bought three containers of tennis balls at $2.98 each. She had a coupon for $1 off. Her mom paid for half of the remaini
Rzqust [24]

Answer:

$3.97

Step-by-step explanation:

Three containers @$2.98 = 3 × 2.98 = $8.94

                                               Less $1 =   -1.00

                                                                  7.94

Less 50% paid my mom = ½ × 7.94 =   -3.97

                               Paid by Theresa =  $3.97

[(3 × 2.98) - 1] ÷ 2 = (8.94 - 1) ÷ 2 = 7.94 ÷ 2 = 3.97

masha68 [24]

Answer:

Jamie spent $39.36 in total.

Step-by-step explanation:

First, add the money spent for the sandwich, beverage, and fruit together.

4.75 + 1.25 + .56 = 6.56

Then, multiply the amount spent for one friend by six to find the total.
