suppose you use a pitcher to to estimate 1.25 qt of water ( experimental volume) . You later measured the volume more precisely

and found it to be 1.34 qt (accepted volume) what is the percent error in your initial measurement. be sure to report your answer to the proper number of significant figures

The percent error in the initial measurement would be 6.47%

Percent Error

Percent error in any measurement is mathematically given as:

                    absolute error/true measurement x 100%

In this case;

True measurement = 1.34 qt

Absolute Error = 1.34 - 1.25

                         = 0.09 qt

Percent error = 0.09/1.34 x 100%

                      = 6.47%

What is the mass of a 1.68-l sample of a liquid that has a density of 0.921g/ml?
Gwar [14]
Hey there!

Volume in mL :

1.68 L  * 1000 => 1680 mL

Density = 0.921 g/mL

Therefore:

Mass = density * Volume

Mass = 0.921 * 1680

Mass = 1547.28 g

How are air temperature and humidity related? Colder air can hold more water vapor than warmer air. Warmer air and colder air ca
Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

Warmer air can hold more water vapor than colder air.

Explanation:

Weather can be defined as the atmospheric conditions of a particular area over a short period of time.

The elements of weather include precipitation, wind, temperature, atmospheric pressure, relative humidity, cloud, and wind speed.

Temperature can be defined as a measure of the degree of coldness or hotness of a physical object (body).

On the other hand, humidity refers to the concentration (amount) of water vapor that is present in the air. It is high when there's a lot of water vapor in the air and low when the level of water vapor is small.

The relationship between air temperature and humidity is that warmer air can hold more water vapor than colder air because as the air cools, its molecules move closer together while the molecules move farther apart as the air become hot.

Additionally, at constant humidity, relative humidity is inversely proportional to temperature i.e as the temperature decreases, relative humidity increases.

In the following equation, which element has been oxidized?
Bumek [7]

The element that has been oxidized is Al ( Answer A)

Explanation

if the oxidation number of an element is greater in the product side than the reactant side then the element has lost the electrons . This mean that the element has been oxidized.

Al is oxidized because it move from oxidation state Zero(0) in reactant side to oxidation state 3⁺ in product side.

This implies that Al loses 3 electrons.
