Why was president george w. bush criticized during his second term? answers?

History

President George W. Bush was criticized during his second term because the government responded poorly to hurricane Katrina.

President Bush had to cope to growing criticism from across the political spectrum for how he maneged the Iraq war and the impact of Hurricane Katrina.

Bush responded to such criticism by accepting full responsibility for the failures of the federal government in handling the emergency, and it has been affirmed that Huricane Katrina and its effects meant a political turning point for Bush's administration from which he would never recover.
