Analyze problem

since the distance is the same, we will not need to do any solving in that part

so, the average of 80 and 100 is

(80+100)/2

which is 90

so, 90 miles per hour

Answer:

Functions evaluated at x = -1

A. a(-1) = -2(-1) + 3 = 5

B. b(-1) = 0 (as per graph)

C. Find the equation first:

 • m = 4/8 = 1/2
 • c(x) = 1/2x - 4
 • c(-1) = -1/2 - 4 = -4.5

D. d(-1) = (-1)² - 4 = -3

E. e(-1) = 2 (as per table)

F. f(-1) = 5/2 = 2.5 (as per graph)

G. g(-1) = 2(3)⁻¹ - 2 = 2/3 - 2 = - 1 1/3

H. h(-1) = 2 (as per table)

The order:

 • C >> D >> G >> B >> E and H >> F >> A

Explain how you can compare the size of a product to the size of a factor when multiplying fractions without actually doing mult
MAXImum [283]
Answer: If you multiply a number by a fraction less than 1, the resulting product will be smaller than the original fraction.

Imagine, if you had half a pizza and you ate one-half of that. You would multiply 1/2 by 1/2 and get an even smaller number. The result would be 1/4.

On the other hand, if you multiply a number by a mixed number that is larger than one, the result would be larger than when you started.

How can the Distributive Property help when you are multiplying by a two-digit number
galben [10]

The distributive property explains that multiplying two numbers (factors) together will result in the same thing as breaking up one factor into two addends, multiplying both addends by the other factor, and adding together both products.

I got this from google for a more definitive answer than my original.

I hope this helps, if not, comment below please!!!
