Answer:

When a number is divided by 5 and the result is 247 with a remainder, one possible dividend is 1236.

The quotient of  a number is the number that is gotten when a number is divided by another number. For example, the quotient of 10 and 2 is 5.

An unknown number was divided by 5 and the result was 247 with a remainder. In order to determine the number the first step is to determine the product of 247 and 5.

247 x 5 = 1235

Since the number has a remainder, the number cannot be exactly 1235. The number would lie between 1235 and 1240. The numbers can be 1236, 1237, 1238 and 1239.

What is the equation in standard form of a parallel line that passes through (0,-2)?
zalisa [80]
'Parallel' means parallel TO something else.  A single line all by itself
is not "a parallel line", until we know the other line that it's parallel TO.

There are an infinite number of lines that pass through (0, -2).
Give us another line, and we'll find the one that's parallel to it.

Which of the following rigid motions is used to prove that vertical angle pairs are congruent? (1) a rotation by 90 about the i
liberstina [14]

Answer:

(2) a rotation by 180^{0} about the intersection of the lines creating the vertical angles.

Step-by-step explanation:

Rigid motion are a set of transformation procedure to change the dimension, orientation or size of a given figure or shape. It involves rotation, translation, reflection and dilation.

Vertical angles are formed when two straight lines intersect to form angles. But two opposite angles called vertical angles are equal. To prove that vertical angles are equal; a rotation by 180^{0} about the intersection of the lines creating the vertical angles is required.

Solving one-step inequalities by multiplying/dividing<br><img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=14v%20%5Cleqslant%2014" id="TexFormul
liubo4ka [24]

Answer: v <= 1

Step-by-step explanation:

When you have a variable by a number, you do the opposite of multiplying, so you divide

Since there's only 14v you divide 14 from itself leaving just the variable

14 ÷ 14 = 1

You repeat this and divide on the other side

14 ÷ 14 = 1

Since you arent dividing by a negative on both sides, the arrow stays the same

v <= 1

Hope this helps!
