The half of the Earth north of the equator is called the: northern, superior, eastern, top
vfiekz [6]

Answer:

northern

Explanation:

Northern Hemisphere is the name to the top part of the Equator, one that goes on the north from it. Earth is divided by the imaginary lined in the middle, and that line is called the Equator. The Northern Hemisphere includes the whole of North America and Europe, the bigger part of Asia, and some parts of Africa and South America.

It is much more populated than the southern hemisphere of the world, especially since countries with huge populations are on it (China, India, US). Most of the counties in the Northern Hemisphere have a colder climate than countries in the Southern Hemisphere. The most upper part of it, Artics, has a really cold climate, and both winters and summers are cold and snowy.

how do location near the coast and prevailing wind patterns affect climate in the southern united states
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

The southern part of the United States is heavily influenced by the sea/ocean and the wind patters that occur because of it. The warm waters that surround the region are making it more stable temperature-wise and the weather is warm and wet for big portions of the year. The precipitation is high as well. But this also brings in problems in the shape of the hurricanes, tornadoes, intense big rainstorms, and floods.
