rea of the tire, than the circumference

Strange question, as normally we would not calculate the "area of the tire." A tire has a cross-sectional area, true, but we don't know the outside radius of the tire when it's mounted on the wheel.

We could certainly calculate the area of a circle with radius 8 inches; it's

A = πr^2, or (here) A = π (8 in)^2 = 64π in^2.

The circumference of the wheel (of radius 8 in) is C = 2π*r, or 16π in.

The numerical difference between 64π and 16π is 48π; this makes no sense because we cannot compare area (in^2) to length (in).

If possible, discuss this situatio with your teacher.

Answer:

  √42 ≈ 6.48074

Step-by-step explanation:

Put the values in place of the corresponding variables and do the arithmetic.

  \sqrt{(a)(b)}=\sqrt{(14)(3)}=\boxed{\sqrt{42}\approx6.48074}

_____

42 = 2·3·7 is not a perfect square, nor does it have any perfect square factors. Its square root is irrational.

Suppose we have a binomial experiment in which success is defined to be a particular quality or attribute that interests us.
mestny [16]

For a binomial experiment in which success is defined to be a particular quality or attribute that interests us, with n=36 and p as 0.23,  we can approximate p hat by a normal distribution.

Since n=36 , p=0.23 , thus q= 1-p = 1-0.23=0.77

therefore,

n*p= 36*0.23 =8.28>5

n*q = 36*0.77=27.22>5

and therefore, p hat can be approximated by a normal random variable, because n*p>5 and n*q>5.

The question is incomplete, a possible complete question is:

Suppose we have a binomial experiment in which success is defined to be a particular quality or attribute that interests us.

Suppose n = 36 and p = 0.23. Can we approximate p hat by a normal distribution? Why? (Use 2 decimal places.)

n*p = ?

n*q = ?

Find (gof)(3)<br> f(x) = |x+2|<br> g(x) = -x^2<br><br> A. -25<br> B. 1 <br> C. 4<br> D. -15
Ksenya-84 [330]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

to find (g ○ f)(3) , evaluate f(3) and substitute the value obtained into g(x)

f(3) = | 3 + 2 | = 5 , then

g(5) = - 5² = - 25

Cooper's USB drive is 1··2full with 5 video files. Each video file is the same size. What fraction of the USB drive does 1 video
lidiya [134]

Answer:

the fraction of the USB drive when one video file use is 10%

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the fraction of the USB drive when one video file use is given below:

= USB drive × number of video file ÷ number of video file

= half × 1 ÷ 5

= 0.5 × 1 ÷ 5

= 0.10

= 10%

Hence, the fraction of the USB drive when one video file use is 10%
