According to philosopher Immanuel Kant, the Enlightenment encourage people to think for themselves.

What is enlightenment?

The term enlightenment explains leaving the attitude of self-caused immaturity due to no guidance of others. It made people get aware of self-understanding through introspection.

Therefore, it promotes an intellectual culture where people are able to make rational decisions for their freedom and happiness.
