Answer:
(9,11)

Explanation:
We are given that:
midpoint is (5,3)
one endpoint is (1,-5) that can be represented by (x1 , y1)
Assume that the coordinates of the other midpoint is (x2 , y2)
The x-coordinate of the midpoint is calculated using the following rule:
Xmidpoint = (x1+x2) / 2
5 = (1+x2) / 2
10 = 1 + x2
x2 = 10 - 1 = 9
The y-coordinate of the midpoint is calculated using the following rule:
Ymidpoint = (y1+y2) / 2
3 = (-5+y2) / 2
6 = -5+y2
y2 = 6+5 = 11
Based on the above calculations, the other endpoint is (9,11)

Hope this helps :)

Since m is the midpoint of gh, both of the x, y coordinates of m should be the average of that of g and h. Let h=(x,y). 5=(1+x)/2, x=2*5-1=9; 3=(-5+y)/2, y=2*3-(-5)=11. So h(9,11).

The formula c = 5p + 215 relates c, the total cost in dollars of hosting a birthday party at a skating rink, to p, the number of
emmasim [6.3K]

Answer: a. p = c/5 - 43        b. 17 people

Step-by-step explanation:

c= 5p + 215

A)  a said solve for p so we will solve for p in the equation.

c= 5p + 215  First   Subtract 215 from both sides

-215     -215

c - 215 = 5p Now divide both sides by 5.

p = c/5 - 43

B)  If c is the total cost  of hosting a birthday party then we will input 300 into the equation for c and solve for p.

300 = 5p + 215    First subtract 215 from both sides

-215             -215

 85 = 5p      Divide both sides by 5

 p = 17

This means  17 people can attend the meeting if Allies parents are willing to spend $300.

HELP ASAP <br> What is the slope of the line on the graph?
ollegr [7]
The slope of this line is -1/6.

2 Point:     (6,2)         (-6,6)
                   x₁ y₁         x₂ y₂

Remember:

    rise          change in y          y₂ - y₁          6 - 2            4
 ---------- =  ------------------- = ------------- = ----------- = ----------
    run            change in x         x₂ - x₁         -6 - 6          -12

Simplify 4/-12

     4 ÷ 4             1
  -------      = ------------- = -1/3
   -12 ÷ 4          -3

The slope of the line is -1/3.
