Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

When x = 0, y = -2.

When x = 2, y = 0.

So the function of the graph is y = x - 2, which is option D.

Fudgin [204]

Answer:

a) The point estimate of the proportion of items returned for the population of

sales transactions at the Houston store = 12/80 = 0.15

b) The 95% confidence interval for the proportion of returns at the Houston store = [0.0718 < p < 0.2282].

c) Yes.

We set an hypothesis and construct a test statistics. The test statistics result gives us:

Z calculated  = 2.2545, and this gives us the p-value = 0.0121. We assumed 95% confident interval. Hence, the level of significance (α) = 5%. Conclusively, since the p-value ==> 0.0121 is less than (α) = 5%, the test is significant. Hence, the proportion of returns at the Houston store is significantly different from the returns  for the nation as a whole.

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Point estimate of the proportion = number of returned items/ total items sold = 12/80 = 0.15.

b) By formula of confident interval:

CI(95%) = p ± Z*\sqrt{\frac{p*(1-p)}{n} }  =  0.15 \pm 1.96 *\sqrt{\frac{0.15*(1-0.15)}{80} },

CI(95%) = [0.0718 < p < 0.2282]

c) The hypothesis:

H_{0}: The proportion of returns at the Houston store is not significantly different from the returns  for the nation as a whole.

H_{a}: The proportion of returns at the Houston store is significantly different from the returns  for the nation as a whole.

The test statistics:

Z = \frac{\hat{p} - p_{0}}{\sqrt{\frac{p*(1-p)}{n} }}, where p_{0} is the proportion of nation returns.

I'm really lost on this problem
Alenkinab [10]
Since you need a little bit of trigonometry to solve this problem,
I'm pretty sure you've had a little bit of trigonometry in class before
you were assigned to solve this problem.

-- The shaded triangle comes from taking the equilateral triangle and
either folding it in half or cutting it in half.

-- The base that the new triangle is standing on is 1/2 the base of the
equilateral triangle, so it's 7 cm long.

-- The acute angle at the right end of the base is the same as it was in
the equilateral triangle . . . 60 degrees.

--  The tangent of 60 degrees is (opposite side)/(adjacent side) = x / 7 cm

              tan(60) = x/7

-- Multiply each side of this little equation by 7 :   7 tan(60) = x

If you don't have the tangent of 60 degrees in your pocket, you can
find it with your calculator.  Multiply it by 7, and Shazam, you know 'x' .

The formula below gives the sum of the degrees, S, of the interior angles of a polygon. If n represents the number of sides, whi
Helga [31]

Answer:

The equation representing the value of <em>n</em> is, n=\frac{S}{180^{\text{o}}}+2.

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula to compute the sum of the degrees, S, of the interior angles of a polygon is:

S=(n-2)\times 180^{\text{o}}

Compute the equation of <em>n</em> as follows:

   S=(n-2)\times 180^{\text{o}}

\frac{S}{180^{\text{o}}}=(n-2)

   n=\frac{S}{180^{\text{o}}}+2

Thus, the equation representing the value of <em>n</em> is, n=\frac{S}{180^{\text{o}}}+2.

Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:126 pounds

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio from dolphins to pound of fish in one day is 1:7

So you have to multiply the ratio on both sides by 18

So you will get 18:126
