Mrs. Zamir has \fbox{\bf\$8.8} left to buy eraser.

Further explanation :

Multiplication is a mathematical operation such that two real numbers are performed in such a way that they derive a third number called product.

For example:

There are two numbers 4{\text{ and 5}} then multiply both the numbers as,

4\times5=20

Therefore, 20 is the product of 4 and 5.

It is given that Mrs. Zamir wants to buy 8 protractors and some erasers for her classroom.

She has total \$30.

If the price of the protractor is \$2.65 each.

Therefore, she spends total amount of money  on protractor can be calculated by multiplying 8 protractors by 2.65 as,

\begin{aligned}n&=8\times2.65\\&=21.2\\\end{aligned}

Thus, she spends \$21.2 on protractors.

Now, she has total \$30 and \$21.2 she spends on protractors.

Therefore, she left with the amount r as,

\begin{aligned}r&=30-21.2\\&=8.8\\\end{aligned}

Therefore, she has \fbox{\bf\$8.8} amount left for eraser.

Mrs Zamir has $8.80

This is a practical multiplication and subtraction question

Further Explanation

Multiplication is a mathematical process where two or more numbers are multiplied to give a final number which is also known as a product. For example, a product, 100 is derived from two or three numbers i.e. 25 x 4 = 100; 5 x 5 x 4 = 100.

Subtraction is a mathematical operation where two or more numbers are calculated in a reducing from to give a final number. For example, 50 – 40 = 10; 50 – 20 – 20 = 10.

Solving the given question:

Mrs Zamir has $30.00, Let Total amount = T

Therefore, T = 30

She needs to buy 8 protractors and some erasers for her classroom.

If protractors cost $2.65, then

Total cost of protractors will be multiplying the protractors cost by the number of protractors needed which is 8

Let the Total cost of protractors =Y

Therefore Y = $2.65 X 8

Y = 21.2

To get the remainder of what Mrs Zamir has left, subtract Y from T i.e. (T – Y)

Let the remainder = R

R = T – Y

R = 30 – 21.2

R = 8.80

Therefore, Mrs Zamir will have $8.80 left to buy erasers

Craig saved $3,655.11, and Yegar saved $4,190.67. How much more did Yegar save than Craig? A. $536.66
STatiana [176]
This is a simple subtraction problem, but since you are in Elementary School, I will help you out.

Subtract $4,190.67 by $3,655.11 (remember, the bigger number should come first)

 4,190.67
<span>-3,655.11
</span>         ...56

When a small number is on top of a bigger number, borrow 1 number from the number next to it (in this case, 0 is smaller than 5, so you must borrow 1 number from 9, making it to 8), then add the small number by 10 (0+0=10)
<span>Then we continue...

</span> 4,190.67
<span>-3,655.11
</span>      35.56

Do the same thing with 4 and 1.

 4,190.67
<u>-3,655.11</u>
   535.56

marta [7]

Answer:

The answer is "496"

Step-by-step explanation:

It begins at 0000 or finishes at 1111:

= 2^8 + 2^8 - 2^4\\\\= 256 +256 -16\\\\= 512 - 16 \\\\= 496
