fgiga [73]
Let M be the amount she earns and H the hours worked;
M\alpha H
M=aH
Where a is a constant of proportionality;
Given that M=41.25 and H=5
41.25=5a
a=\frac{41.25}{5}
a=8.25
The equation then is;
M=8.25H
When she works 8 hours;
M=8.25*8

Ashley had a summer lemonade stand where she sold small cups of lemonade for $1.25 and large cups for $2.50. if ashley sold a to
Levart [38]
The answer is 98 small and 57 large cups.

s - the number of small cups
l - the number of large cups

<span>Ashley sold a total of 155 cups: s + l = 155
</span><span>Ashley earned</span><span>for $265: 1.25 * s + 2.50 * l = 265

</span>s + l = 155
1.25 * s + 2.50 * l = 265
________
s = 155 - l
1.25 * s + 2.50 * l = 265
________
1.25 * (155 - l) + 2.50 * l = 265
193.75 - 1.25 * l + 2.50 * l = 265
193.75 + 1.25 * l = 265
1.25 * l = 265 - 193.75
1.25 * l = 71.25
l = 71.25 / 1.25
l = 57

______
s = 155 - l
l = 57

s = 155 - 57
s = 98

Please answer this and thank you<br><br> If DE=4x+10, EF=2-1, and DF=9x-15, find DF.
professor190 [17]
I hope that 2-1 means 21.

DE + EF = DF
4x + 10 + 21 = 9x - 15
4x + 31 = 9x - 15
31 = 9x - 4x - 15
31 = 5x - 15
46 = 5x
x = 9 1/5 = 9.2

You want 9x - 15
9*9.2 - 15
82.8 - 15
67.8 <<<<< answer.
If I have given the wrong meaning to 2-1 (which could mean 1) leave another note and I will correct my work.
