Answer:

9

Step-by-step explanation:

median: The middle number after the numbers have been sorted into ascending or descending order.

Mean: The quotient of the numbers added together then divided by the amount of numbers.

So if 9 were the missing number the median would be 5 because in ascending order it would look like this:

1, 3, 5, 7, 9

and as you can see 5 is in the middle.

The mean would also be 5 because

1+ 3+ 5 + 7 +9 =25

and 25 divided by 5 equals 5

So therefore the missing number must be 9.

(Also it was obvious that they just added 2 to each number)

Write two equivalent fractions for each. 1/2 and 4/5
Butoxors [25]
An equivalent fraction for 1/2 would be 2/4. This is because you can simplify 2/4 by dividing it by 2. The final answer would be 1/2.

An equivalent fraction for 4/5 would be 8/10. It's basically the same thing. Divide them both by 2 and you'll get 4/5 since 8 divided by 2 is 4, and 10 divided by 2 is 5.

Square root of 16÷4^3=4^n
nata0808 [166]

Answer:

n = -½

Explanation:

\sqrt{\frac{16 }{4^{3}} } = 4^{n}     Express 16 as 4²

\sqrt{\frac{4^{2}}{4^{3}}} = 4^{n}     Do the division

\sqrt{4^{-1}} = 4^{n}     Square both sides

4^{-1} = 4^{2n}    Take log₄ of both sides

-1 = 2n     Divide each side by 2

n = -\frac{1 }{ 2}

===============

<em>Check</em>:

\sqrt{\frac{16 }{4^{3}} } = 4^{-\frac{ 1}{ 2}}

\sqrt{\frac{16}{ 64}} = \frac{1 }{4^{\frac{1 }{ 2}}}

\sqrt{\frac{1}{4}} = \sqrt{\frac{1}{4}}
