2(3x + 5) = 22 <br> what is X?
grandymaker [24]
First divide both sides by 2 so that we can get rid of the parentheses, so we get
(3x + 5) = 11
now subtract 5 from both sides
3x = 6
then finally we want x alone so we'll divide both sides by 3 and get our final answer!
x = 2

For the following sequence determine the common difference (if it is an arithmetic sequence) or the common ratio (if it is a geo
qwelly [4]

Answer:

The first one is the answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

It's an arithmetic sequence. It has a common difference.

d = an - a_n-1

an = -12x + 12

a_n-1 = - 7x + 8

d = -12x + 12 - (-7x + 8)

d = -12x + 12 + 7x - 8

d = -5x + 4

Try  it. Let's try for the third term

-12x + 12 - 5x + 4

- 17x + 15 which is exactly what the third term is.
