5. The fluid inside living things is water based. All other nutrients needed by living things erst in
miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

A vendor displays a variety of fruits in a market in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Fruits and vegetables are an important source of nutrients. Apples, such as the red and green varieties on the top left of this image, are excellent sources of fiber, which aids in digestion. Oranges and lemons, also in the top row, are high in vitamin C, which helps the body's immune system. Strawberries, in the middle row, also contain vitamin C. Figs, the dark purple fruit in the center row, contain calcium, which contributes to healthy teeth and bones. Grapes have fiber and high levels of sugar, which provides energy. Raspberries have B-vitamins, which contribute to healthy skin and muscles. Nectarines, in the bottom center, are a type of smooth-skinned peach with high levels of potassium, which helps maintain fluid balance in the body.

Explain why there is glucose ni urine
sattari [20]

This could be because someone has Glycosuria. Glycosuria is what happens when your kidneys can not take out enough sugar from your blood vessels and in turn passes it through urination. This is usually not a good thing to have as it could tell you that your kidneys do not function as good as they should. This is something that is not dangerous to your life, but does need to be looked at because it tells you that your kidneys are weaker than they should be and might lead to other complications later in life.

You do a serial dilution in the same manner as the one in the video. A plate with a sample volume of 10-6 mL produced 43 colonie
8090 [49]

Answer: 43 x 10^6 CFU.

Explanation:

Plate count is a method used to determine the number of viable microorganisms in a sample. When the bacterial concentration is high, serial dilutions are carried out in a 1:10 sequence. Then, the dilutions are successive dilutions keeping the dilution factor constant at each step. Small aliquots of these dilutions are seeded in medium contained in a Petri dish where the bacteria grow forming colonies. Then the plates are incubated and colonies develop both within the agar and on the surface.

If the concentration of the seeded aliquot is too high, the bacteria will grow too much and it will not be possible to distinguish the colonies. However, if the concentration is very low, the number of colony forming units (CFU) may be very low and thus can be counted.

Colony forming units are calculated:

CFU = Number of colonies / (volume seeded on the plate * dilution).

The dilution is 10^-6, the number of colonies counted is 43, and usually the volume plated is 0.1 mL, so we replace that in the equation:

CFU= 43 / (0.1 mL * 10^-6)

CFU= 43000000 = 43 x 10^6

A scientist looks at lung tissue under a microscope. Which level of
makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

D. Lung cells

Explanation:

There are many organizations of living things and parts of living things. From simplest to complex the levels are: cells, tissue, organ, system, organism. So, if you have lung tissue then the only simpler organization is cells. These are simpler because cells are what make up tissue, just as tissue makes up organs. Through the levels, the more simple something is then the smaller it is, relatively.
