As one makes a transition to higher education, having more finance would have a positive impact on him.

This is used here to refer to the availability of money. For a person starting a higher school, they would need much more for tuition, books and other expenses.

When they lack this, they may start going through stress.

If the person gets enough social support as they prepare for college, they would have oxytocin boost. This would help to give them more courage.
