We will need to use a systems of linear equations here. Firstly, we will use x for cans of peas and y for cans of corn. This is kind of difficult to explain, but basically, our first equation is going to be the amount x and y costs. Therefore, 0.85x + 0.78y = 6.59. This works because we need to find out how much cans she bought of each.

Next, we know that she for 2 more cans of peas than cans of corn. We can use the equation, 2 + y = x, to represent this situation. This is because she purchased two more cans of peas, so we add 2 to y (cans of corn).

Our equations are: 0.85x + 0.78y = 6.59, 2 + y = x

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

To sovle this we must combine the numbers togther and the variables togther.

We have:

8c+6-3c-2

Lets take out the c's and combine them:

8c -3c

=

5c

Now lets take out the numbers:

6-2

=

4

Now lets put these back together and we get the expression:

5c+4

This looks like A.

Hope this helps! :D

3 PART QUESTION!
Illusion [34]

Answer:

See below

Step-by-step explanation:

Given relationship:

 • d = rt

a) r = 3, d = 4

 • t = d/r = 4/3 h = 1 h 20 min

b) d = 4 miles, rate = r

 • t = 4/r, domain is r and must be greater than zero

c) d = 4 miles, time = t

 • r = d/t = 4/t, domain is t and it must be greater than zero

d) t = 3 h, rate = r

 • d = rt = 3r, domain is r and can be anything greater than zero

In the year 2001, a total of 7.2 million passengers took a cruise vacation. The global cruise industry has been growing at 9% pe
g100num [7]
To find the number of passengers for the next year (2002), take the prior value (7.2 million) and multiply it by 1.09. This will give the predicted value for 2002. In this case, it would be (7,200,000 * 1.09 = 7.848 million). This would show that there is a predicted rise of 0.648 million passengers for the year 2002.

This equation shows how the amount of jam Jenna has jarred is related to the number of days she has spent making jam.
blagie [28]

Jenna need 2 days to make jam if she wants to jar 12 litres of jam in all.

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation shows the amount of jam Jenna has jarred is related to the number of days she has spent making jam.

j=6d

where j represents the amount of jam jarred and d represents the number of days spent making jam.

To find the number of days that Jenna will need if she wants to jar 12 litres of jam is to substitute j=12 in j=6d

12=6d

Dividing 6 on both sides, we get,

2=d

Thus, Jenna need 2 days to make jam if she wants to jar 12 litres of jam in all.
