Temp. at 6 pm. was 72...
that temp. was 8 less then at 4 pm....so at 4 pm, it was 72 + 8 = 80
the temp. at 10 am was 5 greater then at 4 pm.....so at 10 am, it was 80 + 5 = 85 F <===

Find the solutions of <img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=y%3Dx%5E%7B2%7D%2B2" id="TexFormula1" title="y=x^{2}+2" alt="y=x^{2}+2"
Eva8 [605]

Answer:

x is  \frac{1\ + \sqrt{3} i}{2}   AND

       \frac{1\ - \sqrt{3} i}{2}

y = \frac{3\ + \sqrt{3} i}{2}      And

      \frac{3\ - \sqrt{3} i}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given two equations are :

y = x² + 2         And

y = x + 1

So, the equation can be written as

x² + 2  =  x + 1

Or, x² - x + ( 2 - 1) = 0

Or, x² - x + 1 = 0

This is in the form of quadratic equation

So,   Roots of equation x be :

     x = \frac{-b\pm \sqrt{b^{2}-4\times a\times c}}{2\times a}

Or, x = \frac{1\pm \sqrt{-1^{2}-4\times 1\times 1}}{2\times 1}

Or , x = \frac{1\pm \sqrt{-3}}{2}

Hence the two value of x is  \frac{1\ + \sqrt{3} i}{2}   AND

                                               \frac{1\ - \sqrt{3} i}{2}

So , y = \frac{3\ + \sqrt{3} i}{2}      And

              \frac{3\ - \sqrt{3} i}{2}

Each of 15 learners will give a one and a half minute speech in their mother tongue. how long will it take to give the speeches?
STatiana [176]

It will take approx. 22 minutes and 30 seconds for the speeches.

<h3>What is Division?</h3>

It is the inverse of the multiplication operation. It is defined as the act of forming equal groups. While dividing numbers, we break down a larger number into smaller numbers such that the multiplication of those smaller numbers will be equal to the larger number taken.

Here, Time duration of each learner = 1 minutes 30 seconds

                                                            = 3/2 minutes.

        Total number of learners = 15

Time taken by all the speech category = 15 X 3/2

                                                                 = 45/2

                                                                = 22 minutes 30 seconds

Thus, It will take approx. 22 minutes and 30 seconds for the speeches.
