\underline{\underline{\large\bf{Given:-}}}

\red{\leadsto}\:\textsf{Total Number of fish }\sf = 30

\red{\leadsto}\:\textsf{ Number of carp fish }\sf = 9

\underline{\underline{\large\bf{To Find:-}}}

\orange{\leadsto}\:\textsf{ Ratio of carp to sticklebacks to tench }\sf in \:the \:pond

\\

\underline{\underline{\large\bf{Solution:-}}}\\

\longrightarrowNumber of fish that are not carp = Total fish - number of carp fish

\begin{gathered}\implies\quad \sf 30-9 \\\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\implies\quad \sf 21 \\\end{gathered}

\longrightarrowSince 1/3 of remaining fish which are not carp are sticklebacks , Number of sticklebacks =

\begin{gathered}\implies\quad \sf  \frac{1}{3} \times number  \:of  \:remaining \: fish\\\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\implies\quad \sf  \frac{1}{3}\times 21 \\\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\implies\quad \sf  7 \\\end{gathered}

<u>Now</u> ,

\longrightarrowNumber of tench = Total number of fish - (Number of carp + Number of sticklebacks)

\begin{gathered}\implies\quad \sf  30-(9+7) \\\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\implies\quad \sf  30-16\\\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\implies\quad \sf  14\\\end{gathered}

\thereforeRatio of carp to sticklebacks to tench in the pond =

\begin{gathered}\quad\quad \boxed{\sf {9: 7:14}} \\\end{gathered}

Which is an equation in point-slope form for the given point and slope?
xxMikexx [17]

Hi There!

Solution,

Point Slope Form: y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Now you have a reference equation of what the answer should look like.

By looking at the answer choices you can eliminate A.

Tip: When you have a negative number you are going to add. For Example, if you have -8, you will input x + 8 or y + 8.

Tip 2: When you have a positive number you are going to subtract. For Example, if you have 3 you will input x - 3 or y - 3.

We can eliminate B because its not subtracting 3.

We can also eliminate C because its not adding -8.

The best answer choice is D.

Answer,

y – 3 = 6(x + 8)

I hope you understand, so you can do this in the future on your own.

Hope This Helps :)

PLEASE HELP ME PRE CAL/TRIG
miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

A) 60 Degrees

B) 550 Feet

C) 2.5 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

a) So the wheel has completed one revolution in 10 minutes so lets first divide 100 secs with 10 minutes to calculate the the fraction of revolution

1 min = 60 secs

10 min = 600 secs

100/600 = 1/6

One complete revolution is 360 degrees and 1/6 of 360 degrees will be 60 degrees .

360/6 = 60°

b)  It takes 10 minutes to complete one revolution so if the person is on it for 7 minutes it would be 7/10 of a revolution . The ferris wheel has a diameter of 250 feet so the radius will be 125 feet because it is the half of the diameter and the circumference will be 250 π . To calculate the distance lets multiple the fraction of the revolution which is 7/10 into the circumference \frac{7}{10} * (250 pi) = 550 Feet.

C)It took 10 minutes to travel 250 π now we will use this relation to calculate 200 feet . lets suppose t is for time .

\frac{250pi}{10} =\frac{200}{t}.

After solving this equation as there is only one unknown which is "<em>t</em> "the answer will be 2.5 minutes.

Please help! If possible please show your work. Thank you in advance!! :D

Answer:

  • (-4)³ = -64
  • -64

Step-by-step explanation:

The first step in solving the equation is to cube both sides:

  (∛x)³ = (-4)³ . . . . . = (-4)(-4)(-4) = 16(-4) = -64

  x = -64 . . . . . simplified

__

We're not sure what "checking" is supposed to involve here. Usually, one would check the answer by seeing if a true statement is made when the answer is put into the original equation.

  ∛(-64) = -4 . . . true

Many calculators will not compute √(-64) because they compute roots using logarithms. The log of a negative number is not defined.

So, the way one would check this is to cube both sides, which is how we got the answer in the first place. We expect the same result from doing the same operation again, so it isn't really a check.
