Answer:

2

Step by step explanation:

Given: <u>The average mass of all the students in the class was 35.1 kg. After 1 student left the class, whose mass is 32.3kg, the average mass of the remaining students became 36.3kg, how many students were there in the class room now?</u>

Find out: <u>how many students were there in the class room after one student </u><u>left</u>

Solution: <u>Let the total number of remaining student be= n</u>

<u>Let the total number of remaining student be= nAnd the sum of mass of all the students be = x </u><u>kg</u>

So,

\frac{x}{n + 1}  = 35.1

Make x the subject of formula

--› \: x = 35.1(n + 1)

And

--› \:  \frac{x - 32.3}{n}  = 36.3

--›x - 32.3= 36.3n

--› \: 35.1(n + 1) - 32.3 = 36.3n

--› \: 35.1n + 35.1 - 32.3 = 36.3n

--› \: 2.8 = 1.2n

divide both side by n

n =  \frac{2.8}{1.2}

N = 2.333

so total number of students remaining is 2

At 8:00 am the smiths left a camp ground, driving at 48 mi/h. At 8:20 am the Garcia's left the same campground and followed the
Fantom [35]

Answer:

9:40 am

Step-by-step explanation:

Let time taken from when Smith left compound to when Garcia overtakes Smith's car be represented by y

After y hours, Smith has covered 48*y=48y miles

Similarly, due to a difference of 20 minutes which is 20/60=1/3 hours, Garcia moves a distance of

60(y-1/3)

Equating both distances to be the same

60y-20=48y

12y=20

y=20/12=5/3 hours

Converted to minutes

5/3*60=100 minutes= 1 hr 40 mins

Therefore, adding 100 minutes to to starting time of Smith

8:00+1:40=9:40 am

The time that Garcia overtakes Smith is 9:40am

Please help with this question
leonid [27]

We know that \sin(45)=\cos(45) and this is the only point when sin and cos are equal lengths. Because both \sin(45),\cos(45)=\dfrac{\sqrt{2}}{2}

Now if the sin of 30° is a half that would mean that cos of 60° is also a half.

Hope this helps.
