How to find the missing side of a triangle in trig for geometry

Mathematics

8 0

Step-by-step explanation:

cosine is cos(angle)= adjacent/hypotenuse

sine is sin(angle) = opposite/hypotenuse

Tangent is tan(angle)= opposite/adjacent

for all of those

if the equation is something like tan(69)= x/69

multiply both sides by 69 so it will end up as x=69tan(69) and put that in the calculator

if it is something like tan(69)= 69/x

just swap x and tan(69)

it is much easier

it will then be 69/tan(69) and put that in the calculator

Identify the type of sequence 1/10, 3/20, 5/30, 7/40...
Dafna11 [192]
Arithmetic sequence: must have a constant common difference.
3/20-1/10=(3-2)/20=1/20
5/30-3/20=(10-9)/60=1/60
Difference is not constant, so no.

Geometric sequence: must have a common ratio
30/20 / (1/10) = 15
5/30 / (3/20) = 100/90 = 10/9
ratio is not constant, so no.

The answer is (c) neither geometric nor arithmetic

Find the perimeter of parallelogram ABCD with vertices A(–5, 6), B(2, 6), C(1, –2), and D(8, –2).
zavuch27 [327]
Since in A and B we have the same y value, 2-(-5)=7 and that's one side. For A to C (we connect A to C since they are both the ones on the left), we use the distance formula to get sqrt((-5-1)^2+(6-(-2))^2=sqrt(36+64)=sqrt(100)=10. Since there are 2 equal pairs of sides in a parallelogram, we get 7*2+10*2=34

What is the sum of the measures of the interior angles formed by the boundary of this team pennant?
Debora [2.8K]
I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is option C. The sum of the measures of the interior angles formed by the boundary of this team pennant should be 180 degrees since all triangles has a sum of interior angles which is 180 degrees. Hope this answers the question.
