They are people who sell their products at a lower price than originally sold, they are basically a type of retailer. They are important because they work on their own and there are multiple different types of them that do all kinds of jobs. There are merchant wholesalers, brokers, and even manufacturers agents. They overall help to expand marketing potential and they help to provide cash flow.
