The Fruitz fruit and vegetable shop is selling grapes at a price which is 10% cheaper than the Happy Fruiterer fruit and vegetab

le shop. A customer bought “n” kilograms of grapes from the Fruitz shop for $50.
a) How much would this $50 worth of grapes cost had he bought the grapes from the Happy Fruiterer?

b) The Happy Fruiterer wants to be competitive so for the coming week, he discounts the grapes by 5% and the following week, discounts them a further 5%. How much would the grapes originally bought for $50 from Fruitz cost during this second week of discounting at the Happy Fruiterer?

c) Which shop is the cheapest during this second week of discounting and by how much?

Answer:

(a) It costs $55 at Happy Fruiterer

(b) It will cost $49.64

(c) It is cheaper at Happy Fruiterer the second week

Step-by-step explanation:

Since Fruitz shop sells as 10% less than Happy Fruiterer at $50

10% more of $50 = 50 × 10/100 + 50

= $5 + $50 = $55

(a) n Kg of grapes will cost $55 at Happy Fruiterer

(b) if Happy Fruits discounts $55 by 5%, we will have

55 × 5/100 = 2.75

that is $55 - $2.75 = $52.25

If it is discounted further at 5% more the following week, we will have

$52.25 × 5/100 = $2.6125

≈ $2.61

Then the new price for the 2nd week is $52.25 - $2.61

= $49.64

(c) at the second wee of discounting, Fruitz shop still sells at $50 will Happy Fruiterer now see at $49.64. Therefore, it is cheaper at Happy Fruiterer

Answer:

The angles are 54 2/3 degrees and 115 1/3 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

make an equation for the angles x being one angle and y being the other

16+ 2x =y

Supplementary angles add to 180

x + y = 180

Fill in y with the first equation

x + 16 +2x =180

simplify

3x +16 =180

subtract 16 from both sides

3x = 164

divide both sides by 3

x = 54 2/3

Insert the value of x into the first equation then simplify

16 + 2(54 2/3) =y

16 + 109 1/3 =y

115 1/3 =y

I really need help please
Mkey [24]
So.. let's say ∡AGB and ∡BGC are say "a" units wide, and ∡CGD and ∡DGE are "b" units wide

notice the picture below

all angles added up together, will make up just a flat line, or 180°

now, notice in the picture, the ∡BGD is really just " a + b " wide, notice the green angle in the picture of ∡BGD, well, we know what a + b is

What is the graph of the inequality 3x+2y>-5
Doss [256]

Answer:

The graph with solution is shown below.

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find the x-intercept and y-intercept for given equation.

For  x-intercept , substitute y=0

Considering inequality sign as equality and simplifying,

3x+2y=-5\\3x+0=-5\\x=-\frac{5}{3} , point is (-\frac{5}{3} ,0)

Similarly,

For y-intercept , substitute x=0

We get,

3x+2y=-5\\0+2y=-5\\y=-5/2 , point is (0,-\frac{5}{2})

We locate this two points on the graph now and join them.

The joining line will be dotted as the inequality has just 'greater than' symbol. The region above the dotted line is the solution to graph.
