How ribosomes help cell maintain homeostasis

Biology

Answer: Ribosomes play a key role in homeostasis. <u>Without ribosomes, a cell would not make proteins. </u>A cell with no ribosome would simply not function. With no protein reproduction to maintain the cell wall there would be no barrier to keep invasive bodies from damaging the inner workings of the cell, there would be no way to produce the needed proteins for rebuilding and maintaining the cell.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

Ribosomes create the thermoreceptors of the body. Another example of a homeostatic condition maintained by proteins is blood-glucose levels. When our blood-sugar levels get too high, specialized cells in the body release a protein hormone called insulin.

On the ventral surface of the brain, you can observe the optic nerves and chiasma, the pituitary gland, and the mammillary bodie
Naddik [55]

On the ventral surface of the brain, you can observe the optic nerves and chiasma, the pituitary gland, and the mammillary bodies. These externally visible structures form the floor of the <u>diencephalon.</u>

<h3></h3><h3>Where is the exact location of the diencephalon?</h3>
  • Diencephalon is one part that is located behind the forebrain, which part includes the thalamus, hypothalamus, and also the epithalamus.
  • The diencephalon itself is one of the main parts of our brain. Its location is quite hidden and its size is quite small, the exact location of this diencephalon is between the hemispheres of the brain and just above the brainstem.
  • Despite its small size, the diencephalon plays an important role in brain health and body function because the diencephalon is the part of the brain that sends signals and cooperates with our bodies.
  • Some of the things controlled by the diencephalon, they are senses (hearing, seeing, smelling, feeling), body movements, motor functions, homeostasis, touch perception and so on.

Answer:

The correct answer is a.  Helicase unwinds DNA

Explanation:

DNA replication is a process in which DNA make it's own copy. There are several enzymes and factors which access the DNA replication process like helicase, primase, SSB protein, DNA polymerase etc.

The first step in DNA replication is the unwinding of double stranded DNA which is accomplished by an enzyme called Helicase. Helicase opens up the double stranded DNA at replication fork by breaking the hydrogen bond between the nucleotides of complementary strands.

This provides a single stranded template for DNA polymerase to form a new complementary strand. In <em>E. coli </em>Dna B is the primary helicase and in humans the primary helicase is MCM( minichromosome maintenance protein complex).
