Chloroplasts;
These contain grana, the site of the light-dependent reaction of photosynthesis, and stroma, a fluid substance that is the equivalent of cytoplasm in cells, which is the site of the light-independent reaction of photosynthesis. Grana are structures made of stacked thylakoid membranes, necessary for chemiosmosis, connected to one another by lamellae.
The oxygenated blood then leaves the lungs through pulmonary veins, which return it to the left heart, completing the pulmonary cycle. This blood then enters the left atrium, which pumps it through the mitral valve into the left ventricle. From the left ventricle, the blood passes through the aortic valve to the aorta.
