The sum of all the <em>angles</em> <em>made</em> at a point on a line where n <em>lines</em> meet, then the sum of (n+1) angles is 180°, as here, 2 lines meet at the center of the semicircle and so, 3 angles are here.So, by using this <em>property</em> we will be having the equation ;

{:\implies \quad \sf x^{\circ}+7x^{\circ}+x^{\circ}=180^{\circ}}

{:\implies \quad \sf 9x^{\circ}=180^{\circ}}

{:\implies \quad \sf x=\dfrac{180^{\circ}}{9}=\bf \boxed{20^{\circ}}}

<em>This is the required answer</em>

Hey there!

Assuming #1 ….

x + 7x + x = 180°
REWORD

1x + 7x + 1x = 180°

COMBINE the LIKE TERMS

(1x + 7x + 1x) = 180°

8x + 1x = 180°

9x = 180°

DIVIDE 9 to BOTH SIDES

9x/9 = 180/9

CANCEL out: 9/9 because it equal 1

KEEP: 180/9 because it give you the x-value

NEW EQUATION: x = 180/9

SIMPLIFY IT!
x = 20

NEED HELP WITH PART B
Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer:

y = -20x + 100

Step-by-step explanation:

As per your requirement For Part B, the solution is

The equation in slope-intercept form to model the relations is below:-

To reach 2 points on the graph the line passes through

lets use p1(0, 100), p2(1, 80)

now we will compute the slope:

m = \frac{(y2 - y1)}{(x2 - x1)}

m = \frac{(80 - 100)}{(1 - 0)}

= -20

and now use line equation in form point-slope:

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - 100 = -20(x - 0)

y = -20x + 100

5p + 3 = 15 Write a situation that this equation could help you solve and explain how each part of the equation relates to the s
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Expressions can be represented as equations, and vice versa.

A possible situation is as follows:

<em>John is 15 years old, and his age is 3 more than 5 times his brother's age</em>

The equation is given as:

\mathbf{5p + 3 = 15}

This means that:

  • 15 represents John's age
  • P represents his brother's age
  • 5 and 3 are the constants that relate their ages

tyron and his friends go to a movie theater where large tub of popcorn costs $8 .25 and a medium soda costs $3.75 tyrone has $30
Veseljchak [2.6K]
30-8.25= 21.75

21.75/3.75= 5.8, you can't buy .8 of a soda so he could buy 5 sodas.
