What is the point slope of the line when slope is -4 and the given coordinates are (4,-9)
Lina20 [59]

The point-slope form of the equation of a straight line is:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

We have:

m=-4\\(4;-9)\to x_1=4;\ y_1=-9

Substitute:

y-(-9)=-4(x-4)\\\\\boxed{y+9=-4(x-4)}
