Hey there!

-7u - 7 = 7

ADD 7 to BOTH SIDES

-7u - 7 + 7 = 7 + 7

CANCEL out: -7 + 7 because it give you 0

KEEPs 7 + 7 because it help solve for the u-value

NEW EQUATION: -7u = 7 + 7

SIMPLIFY IT!

-7u = 14

DIVIDE -7 to BOTH SIDES

-7u/-7 = 14/-7

CANCEL out: -7/-7 because it give you 0

KEEP: 14/-7 because it give you the

u-value

NEW EQUATION: u = 14/-7

SIMPLIFY IT!

u = -2

SOLVING FOR : 9u - 2

9u - 2

= 9(-2) - 2

= -18 - 2

= -20

Therefore, your answer is: -20

Good luck on your assignment & enjoy your day!

The projected world population (in billions of people) t years after
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer:

y = 5 e^r * t

Let y be the population in billions and t the value of elapsed years

7 =   5 e^r * t  is the equation being used where  t = 15

7/5 = e^r * t

ln 7/5 = r * t     taking ln of both sides

r = .336 / 15 = .0224

y = 5 e^(.0224 t)    is then our equation

Check  - suppose you want y at 2020

y = 5 e^(.0224 * 20)    would be the equation

y = 5 e^.449 = 7.83  billion - seems to be a reasonable answer

A deck of 52 cards is shuffled. The first five cards of the deck are red. What is the probability that the last card in the deck
saveliy_v [14]

Answer:

The answer is "\frac{1}{47}".

Step-by-step explanation:

Although the five first players are red, the very first five cards are not spaded as the spad is a black card.

Its chance of the final card mostly on deck being the ace of spades is therefore determined as:

= \frac{1}{\text{Number of remaining cards with the initial 5 cards}} \\\\= \frac{1}{47}

Thus, \frac{1}{47} here is the necessary chance.
