Indicate three ways how social pressure could be regarded as a stressor for young people in their family relationship
s2008m [1.1K]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options attached we can say the following.

The three ways how social pressure could be regarded as a stressor for young people in their family relationships are the following.

1.- Family pressures young people to behave like someone else. How many times yo have heard parents say "you have to be like your older sister..." "You have to be like your cousin Arthur..."

2.- Fulfill expectations. Your family in general, and ypur parents in specific, set a series of expectations that you are supposed to fulfill. You have to go to class, have good grades, respect family values, attend family events, do what your father/mother wants you to be, and so on.

3.- Behave as other people do in society and trying to fill in those expected social roles. The traditional idea of go to school, get a degree, have a decent job, getting married, have children, be a good Christian, obey the laws, follow orders.

That is why, when some people act in a different way or try to break social rules, everybody questions them. It seems that being different is a sin and people can't stand an individual who tries to be true to himself and his beliefs.
