Richard Nixon was an intelligent man however he was also ruthless and dishonest hence it is no surprise that opinion about him would keep shifting.. During his tenure, Nixon achieved a lot. This include forging diplomatic relations with China and the Soviet Union. However, he was also very controversial and he made huge mistakes among them his involvement in Watergate which tarnished his legacy in addition to deepening American cynicism about government.

Why did France want the World War I peace conference to be held at Versailles?
ale4655 [162]
I think it was harsh and unfair so much that it didn't stop WW2.
Germany had no say in negotiations
- They didn't believe they had lost the war
- Made the Germans resentful which could lead to them wanting revenge and another war
- They couldn't rebuild trade and wealth as they had lost most of their land/colonies
- They couldn't afford reparations
- Peacemakers were getting pressure at home

Why did the colonists not like mercantilism?
ValentinkaMS [17]

Answer:

They argued that by controlling its imports and exports, a country could maximize its wealth (while denying that wealth to rival powers). From a mercantilist mindset, the colonies were seen primarily as a means to an end (existing for the benefit of the mother country).

This evangelical preacher became famous in the 1950s.
Vanyuwa [196]
B. Billy Graham, would be the correct answer I believe.

Because he rose to celebrity status around 1950, and I believe the exact year would be 1949, therefore it seems to be the closest pastor in that time frame.

Hope I helped :)
