Answer:

When corn is used to produce ethanol for fuel the process also generates LIVESTOCK FEED AND CORN OIL

Explanation:

Ethanol is a product of the fermentation process whereby carbohydrates is broken down due to the action of a microorganism called Yeast and it produces ethanol, carbon dioxide and water.

The used of ethanol as a source of fuel instead of petroleum products is because it is produced from a carbohydrates( corn) which makes it renewable.

Also ethanol when used as fuel does not emit harmful gas such as green house gases that can pollute the environment.

Ethanol for fuel is produced industrially by using either the method of wet milling or dry grinding. The both methods involves the breaking of the carbohydrates present in starch to simple sugars glucose and adding the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisae to the simple sugars which in turn breaks it down through the process of fermentation into ethanol and we can recover by products such as livestock feed and corn oil from the process as well.

The Ethanol produced can be used like that as fuel or it can be blended or mixed together with gasoline and used as fuel.

The recovered by products from Ethanol fuel production such as the livestock feed is used as a source of feed for animals which the corn oil can be used in the process of cooking or frying of foods. Corn oil can also be used to produce margarine as well.

Describe some characteristics used to group organisms into different kingdoms?
Olenka [21]

Three of the major characteristics used to classify organisms are cell structure, mode of nutrition and cellularity. These characteristics help scientists determine how organisms are similar to each other as well as how they are different from each other.

Classifying an organism according to its cell structure means determining if it is a prokaryote or eukaryote and then determining if the organism has a cell wall or other organelles, according to Dave Krupp of the University of Hawaii .

Mode of nutrition refers to how an organism gets its food. Organisms can be classified as autotrophs or heterotrophs. Autotrophs make their own food, while heterotrophs must eat other organisms to survive. If an organism is an autotroph, it can also be classified as a photoautotroph or a chemoautotroph. Stephen T. Abedon of Ohio State explains that photoautotrophs produce their own food using energy from sunlight. Chemoautotrophs produce food using the energy from electron-donating compounds.

Cellularity refers to how many cells an organism has and how those cells are arranged. Some organisms are single-celled, while others are multicellular. Advanced organisms have cells organized into tissues.
