Mathematics

As here we are given with an equilateral triangle, whose side is 3 cm, and we need to find the height and area of the equilateral triangle. So, for this let's recall that, the area of any equilateral triangle with side a is given by ;

  • {\boxed{\bf{Area_{(Equilateral\:\: Triangle)}=\dfrac{\sqrt{3}}{4}a^{2}}}}

So, if we substitute a = 3, in our Formula, it will yield to

{:\implies \quad \sf Area_{(Equilateral\:\:Triangle)}=\dfrac{\sqrt{3}}{4}(3)^{2}}

{:\implies \quad \sf Area_{(Equilateral\:\:Triangle)}=\dfrac{\sqrt{3}}{4}(9)}

{:\implies \quad \boxed{\bf{Area_{(Equilateral\:\:Triangle)}=\dfrac{9\sqrt{3}}{4}\:\:cm^{2}}}}

Now, as we know that, for any triangle we also have a formula that is ;

  • {\boxed{\bf{Area_{(Triangle)}=\dfrac{1}{2}\times Base\times Height}}}

Now, Here as the triangle is equilateral, so it's base will just be same 3, and if we let height be H, so we will be having

{:\implies \quad \sf \dfrac{1}{2}\times 3\times H=\dfrac{9\sqrt{3}}{4}}

{:\implies \quad \sf H=\dfrac{9\sqrt{3}}{4}\times \dfrac23}

{:\implies \quad \boxed{\bf{Height=\dfrac{3\sqrt{3}}{2}\:\:cm}}}

A roof on a castle tower is shaped like a cone with a diameter of 12 feet and has a slant height of 13 feet one bundle of Shingl
marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

  8

Step-by-step explanation:

The lateral area of a cone is ...

  LA = (π/2)ds

where d is the diameter, and s is the slant height.

The area of this tower roof is about ...

  LA = (π/2)(12 ft)(13 ft) = 78π ft² ≈ 245 ft²

About 245/32 = 7.7 bundles of shingles will be required for coverage.

You should buy 8 bundles of shingles to cover the roof.

Please help. I am not good with this
aniked [119]

Answer:

X= 7

Z= 117

Step-by-step explanation:

Z would be 117 because on the bottom half of the equation it has to be equal to 180. It gave you 63 already and so I just took the 180 and subtracted the 63 to get 117.

Which graph represents (,y)-pairs that make the equation y = 2x true?
Veseljchak [2.6K]

Answer:

Pairs (2,4), (4,8) and (5,10) makes the equation y=2x true

Step-by-step explanation:

By using the equation y=2x, eval the following points (gathered from the attached picture)

1. (2,4) which leaves us 4=2*2

2. (4,8) which leaves us 8=4*2

3. (5,10) which leaves us 10=5*2

All points from this graph satisfies the equation y=2x
