To send Americans into space.

The Project Mercury's aim was to send Americans astronauts into space. It was created in 1958, and a few months later, it selected the seven astronauts for the program, although one of them never made it to space because of a health problem: Deke Slayton.

The first astronaut to ever reach space was the American Allan Shepard, who made a suborbital flight, that is to say, he reached space and came right back down. Subsequently, astronaut Gus Grissom also went to space, and he was followed by John Glenn (who was the first who orbited Earth), Scott Carpenter, Wally Schirra, and Gordon Cooper (who spent 34 hours circling Earth).

Flura [38]

I believe there is something wrong with the experiments.

First of all, there is no control group which make the researcher able to distinguish which variables are the one that would change the nature of independent variable. The second reason is because there is biased or non representative sample in the study ( only from colleagues in the same field)

Three of the following statements are consistent with the textbook's recommendations regarding the effective use of reinforcemen
brilliants [131]

Answer:

A. Use concrete reinforcers even when children are intrinsically motivated to learn.

Explanation:

Concrete reinforcement is carried out by giving either reward or discouragement to motivate the children into doing a behavior that we want them to.

When children are already intrinsically motivation to learn, this type of reinforcement is no longer necessary and doing that possess the risk to actually stray the children's motivation away from learning by themselves.

Four-year-old Alex and his mother visited the zoo. While they were there, Alex’s mother took him to see the squirrel exhibit. Al
azamat

Answer:

The answer is assimilation.

Explanation:

According to Piaget, assimilation is a process in which we aquire new information and incorporate it to our existing knowledge. This often occurs by interpreting new experiences according to our previous ideas. In the example, Alex assimilates a flying squirrel as a bird because of his preexisting knowledge of birds (e.g. they fly).

It's possible to change one's knowledge through a process called accodomation, something Alex will likely do in the future: he will learn that birds have feathers and beaks, and that some squirrels can glide in the air.

When communicating across cultures, the best strategy regarding language use is to?
ICE Princess25 [194]

Learning local language.

While some of a culture's knowledge, rules, beliefs, values, fears, and anxieties are taught explicitly, most of the information is absorbed subconsciously.

Communicating across cultures is challenging because knowledge of cultures is essential for facilitating interaction with people. Language has always been an important source of communication. Moreover, language plays an important role when you want to express your opinions and attitudes to the person you are talking to and for that, it is essential to learn the local language for effective communication.

In what ways does our environment (place, people, society, culture) affect who we are and who we become?
Alex Ar [27]

Hope some of these helps if not im sorry

At first, particular cultures develop because of the physical landscape. Over time, those cultures exert their own influence on the landscape around them. Experts point to the impact of certain physical features, such as landforms, climates, and natural vegetation.

The environment can influence peoples' behavior and motivation to act. The environment can influence mood. For example, the results of several research studies reveal that rooms with bright light, both natural and artificial, can improve health outcomes such as depression, agitation, and sleep.

Our culture shapes the way we work and play, and it makes a difference in how we view ourselves and others. It affects our values—what we consider right and wrong. This is how the society we live in influences our choices. But our choices can also influence others and ultimately help shape our society
