Math Hoops

Rockets Math Hoops is an exciting, fast paced digital board game and curriculum that leverages the game of basketball and NBA/WNBA player statistics to impart students in grades 4th-8th with math and social-emotional learning skills. Participants have the opportunity to “draft” their favorite Rockets players and other NBA and WNBA players and compete with their colleagues online to improve not only their math skills, but also their ability to collaborate more effectively with their peers.

No Place For Hate Program

As an extension of the No Place for Hate® program, the Houston Rockets and ADL have teamed-up to develop the “Create with No Place for Hate® – Express Yourself Challenge”, a competition for NPFH participating schools. The challenge encourages students to either create a 2-3-minute video or submit a photo of their still art such as paintings, drawings, collages, or photography depicting the No Place for Hate® message of inclusivity, respect, and equity.

Read Nation

Rockets Read Nation events are fun, interactive and entertaining reading activities at schools and charities, where each child receives age appropriate books of their own to help fuel their love of reading and create their own library.

Be Fit Program

The Be Fit Challenge is implemented in Houston schools and provides children with nutrition and activity tips. They also participate in fun and educational fitness and nutrition activities to win contest prizes. Additionally, one school will win an exciting Be Fit Rally, starring Rockets entertainment and Memorial Hermann fitness and nutrition experts.

Money Talks

Houston Federal Credit Union and the Houston Rockets want to ensure the financial wellness of Houston-area high school juniors and seniors. Money Talks is a program with candid conversations about money, featuring notable Houstonians sharing personal financial growth stories, challenges, and anecdotes for successfully managing money. Sessions also feature HFCU financial tips and resources showing students how to start making money decisions now.

Financial Wellness for Rockets Fans

All Rockets fans have FREE access to ELEVATE, a financial education program that provides an understanding of financial terms, budgeting skills, debt management, and the importance of establishing retirement goals. Enjoy less financial stress and ELEVATE your financial life with the Rockets and HFCU.

Teacher of the Month presented by Pizza Hut

The Houston Rockets and Pizza Hut acknowledge that America’s future depends on teachers educating our children, and applaud the exceptional teachers in the Houston area at the forefront of our school successes. Teacher of the Month will recognize exemplary PK-12th grade teachers who go above and beyond the call of duty to inspire their students to succeed in life and in school.

Grassroots Basketball

Best Shot is a 10-week after-school program for members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. Best Shot provides students with academic tutoring, cultural awareness workshops and drug prevention education. Using basketball as an incentive, participants must take part in weekly educational activities and tutorial sessions before taking part in league games.

Jr. Rockets Program

The Jr. Rockets program's goal is to increase the Houston Rockets presence with local youth basketball leagues. The program aims to develop a life-long passion for the game of basketball, provide support to the leagues and add programs to make the game fun and rewarding for everyone. Each participating league will include a Houston Rockets game ticket into their league registration. Jr. Rockets/participating league jersey will also be included in the registration process.

Grassroots Outreach

A holiday tradition bringing together Rockets players, their families and members of the business team, as they host a series of events for members of the community who are less fortunate. Each year, hundreds of children and their families are the recipients of private parties, gifts and surprise visits by Houston Rockets players.

As a result of which the olfactory receptors sends a signal to our brain and it causes a burning sensation in the nose.
