There are pros and cons to both e-readers and paper books. Do you think the pros outweigh the cons more for modern electronic re

aders, or for good old-fashioned paper books? Maybe it simply comes down to personal preferences as opposed to rational decision-making. Which do you prefer? Which do you think is better? Explain.

E-books have made it easier to carry books across long distances and have made learning  simpler.

<h3>E-books or paper books?</h3>

In the twenty first century, we have seen a sudden budding of technology  such as have never been. Part of this mordern technology is the introduction of electronic books in several formats such as pdf, epub etc.

These books can be read on computers, ipads, laptops, sart phone etc having the appropriate reader software. These ebooks unlike the paper books have eased the inconvienence associated with carrying  paper books which are often bulky from place to place.

Several ebooks could be housed at once in a  smartphone and carried in the pocket. This has made learning easier than ever. Thus, ebooks are better than paper books.

an object has a mass of 50kg, a final height of 20m and an initial height of 8m. what is the amount of work done
Andrei [34K]

amount of work done is 5880 J

Given:

mass of object = 50kg

Final height = 20m

initial height = 8m

To Find:

amount of work done

Solution:

work is done when a force acts upon an object to cause a displacement. You can calculate the energy transferred, or work done, by multiplying the force by the distance moved in the direction of the force.

The work done by gravity is given by the formula,

W = mgh

W = 50 x 9.8 x ( 20-8)

= 5880 J

So the work done is 5880 J

A) An automobile light has a 1.0-A current when it is connected to a 12-V battery. Determine the resistance of the light.
kirill [66]

Answer:

The resistance in first case is 12 Ω, power delivered is 12 W, and potential difference is 0.01 V

Explanation:

Given:

(A)

Current I = 1 A

Voltage V = 12 V

For finding the resistance,

  V = IR

  R = \frac{V}{I}

  R = \frac{12}{1}

  R = 12Ω

(B)

For finding power delivered,

  P = I^{2} R

  P = (1) ^{2} \times 12

  P = 12 Watt

(C)

For finding the potential difference,

   V = IR

   V = 5 \times 10^{-3} \times 2

   V = 10 \times 10^{-3}

   V = 0.01 V

Therefore, the resistance in first case is 12 Ω, power delivered is 12 W, and potential difference is 0.01 V

Which event in a solar cell uses the photoelectric effect?
musickatia [10]

Answer:

Light shone on metal expulses electrons from its surface. This phenomenon is the photoelectric effect, and the electrons are called photoelectrons. Experiments indicate that by increasing light frequency, the kinetic energy of the photoelectrons increases, and by intensifying the light, the current increases

Which statement is correct?
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

The answer is "Choice C ".

Explanation:

The relationship between the E and V can be defined as follows:

\to E= -\Delta V

Let,

\to E= \frac{\delta V}{\delta x}

When E=0

\to   \frac{\delta V}{\delta x}=0

v is a constant value

Therefore, In the electric potential in a region is a constant value then the electric-field must be into zero that is everywhere in the given region, that's why in this question the "choice c" is correct.
