The speed that the person needs to leave the ground will be 4.32m/s

From the question given,

Height = 95cm

Since the person leave the ground v = 0m/s

acceleration due to gravity g = 9.8m/s²

Using the equation of motion

v² = u² + 2as

a = -g (upward motion)

s = h (distance changes to height)

The equation will become:

0² = u² - 2gh

0² = u² - 2(9.8)(0.95)

u² = 18.62

u = √18.62

u = 4.32

Hence the speed that the person needs to leave the ground will be 4.32m/s

The centripetal force on the ball is 140.9 N; option A

What is the centripetal force on the ball?

The centripetal force on the ball is given by the formula below:

 • F = mv²/r

where;

 • m is mass
 • v is linear velocity
 • r is radius

The linear velocity, v = wr

v = 5 * 2π/4.4 * 1.4 = 9.93 m/s

F = 10² * 2/1.4 = 140.9 N

In conclusion, the centripetal force is derived from the mass, velocity and radius of the path.

3. According to Hund's rule, what's the expected magnetic behavior of vanadium (V)?
ivanzaharov [21]

Answer:

Diamagnetic

Explanation:

Hunds rule states that electrons occupy each orbital singly first before pairing takes place in degenerate orbitals. This implies that the most stable arrangement of electrons in an orbital is one in which there is the greatest number of parallel spins(unpaired electrons).

For vanadium V ion, there are 18 electrons which will be arranged as follows;

1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6.

All the electrons present are spin paired hence the ion is expected to be diamagnetic.

What is the volume of 60.0 g of ether if the density of ether is 0.70 g/mL?. . A. 1.2 × 10–2 mL. . B. 86 mL. . C. 2.4 × 10–2 mL.
jek_recluse [69]
Density is a value for mass, such as kg, divided by a value for volume, such as m3. Density is a physical property of a substance that represents the mass of that substance per unit volume. It is a property that can be used to describe a substance. We calculate as follows:

Volume = 60.0 g ( 1 mL / 0.70 g ) = 85.71 mL

Therefore, the correct answer is option B.

A mechanical wave starts when matter is disturbed by a source of ______.
Gwar [14]

Answer:

MATERIAL MEDIUM

Explanation:

Wave is a disturbance that travels through a medium and transfer energy from one point to another without causing any permanent displacement of the medium itself. The two forms of wave are the mechanical wave and the electromagnetic waves.

Mechanical wave is a wave with requires MATERIAL MEDIUM for its propagation. This means that before wave can be propagated at times, material medium is needed e.g a ripple tank. A ripple tank is a mechanical device that generates waves using an instrument called stroboscope attached to it. This kind of wave requires an external source before it can propagate compared to electromagnetic waves that does not require material medium for its propagation.
