Answer:

Quarts of blood = 72000

Quarts of urine = 720

Explanation:

<h3><u>Given</u>;</h3>
  • Each day, the average person's
  • kidneys filter around 200 quarts of blood.
  • About 2 quarts of urine is produced in the
  • process.
<h3><u>To </u><u>Find</u>;</h3>
  • In one year the average person's kidney filter quarts of blood and quarts of urine.

Here, we know that

1 year = 365 days

For blood

200 × 365 = 72000

For urine

2 × 365 = 720

Thus, The average person's kidney filters 72000 quarts of blood and 720 quarts of urine.

If element X has 59 protons, how many electrons does it have?

If element X has 59 protons then element X has 59 electrons.

Side note: as long as an element stays an atom the number of protons and electrons will always have the same value.

Suppose the half-life is 9.0 s for a first order reaction and the reactant concentration is 0.0741 M 50.7 s after the reaction s
bazaltina [42]

<u>Answer:</u> The time taken by the reaction is 84.5 seconds

<u>Explanation:</u>

The equation used to calculate half life for first order kinetics:

k=\frac{0.693}{t_{1/2}}

where,

t_{1/2} = half-life of the reaction = 9.0 s

k = rate constant = ?

Putting values in above equation, we get:

k=\frac{0.693}{9}=0.077s^{-1}

Rate law expression for first order kinetics is given by the equation:

k=\frac{2.303}{t}\log\frac{[A_o]}{[A]}     ......(1)

where,

k = rate constant  = 0.077s^{-1}

t = time taken for decay process = 50.7 sec

[A_o] = initial amount of the reactant = ?

[A] = amount left after decay process =  0.0741 M

Putting values in equation 1, we get:

0.077=\frac{2.303}{50.7}\log\frac{[A_o]}{0.0741}

[A_o]=3.67M

Now, calculating the time taken by using equation 1:

[A]=0.0055M

k=0.077s^{-1}

[A_o]=3.67M

Putting values in equation 1, we get:

0.077=\frac{2.303}{t}\log\frac{3.67}{0.0055}\\\\t=84.5s

Hence, the time taken by the reaction is 84.5 seconds

Compared to a swimming pool filled with water, a hot cup of coffee has higher temperature, but less thermal energy
Julli [10]
Thermal energy equation is;
    Q = mcΔθ

Q = Thermal energy
m = mass
c = specific heat
Δθ = Temperature difference

the hot cup of coffee has a higher temperature. But the mass of coffee is very low compared to the mass of water in swimming pool. The maximum temperature for coffee only can go up to 100 ⁰C since the boiling point of water is 100 ⁰C. But the mass of water in swimming pool is very large and the thermal enegy is very high compared to the coffee cup due to that reason.

Why is the table salt considered to be a compound, while sodium is not??
Brrunno [24]

Answer:

Table salt is considered to be a compound because it is made up of two elements (sodium and chloride,) while sodium itself is a raw element. That's why table salt is considered to be a compound, while sodium is not.

Hope this helped, have a nice day! :)

For a solution containing 6.38% para-diclorobenzene by mass in benzene, the density of the solution as a function of temperature
antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer:

T=34.20 °C

Explanation:

The formula given by the problem is

ρ= 1.5794 - 1.836*10⁻³ *(T-15)

ρ is density (in g/mL), and T is temperature (in °C).

To solve the problem we use a ρ of 1.543 g/mL and solve the equation for T:

1.543 = 1.5794 - 1.836*10⁻³ *(T-15)

0.0364 = 1.836*10⁻³ *(T-15)

19.1983=T-15

T=34.20 °C
