The answer would be 365.76 centimeters. This is because 4 meters is equal to 12 feet. After finding the feet we transform feet into centimeters and then we get our answer. If we’re rounding to the nearest whole number it would be 366.

I need help lol I’m taking this test
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

A) T = -1.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

10t+4−2t=2−2(t+4)

10t+4+−2t=2+(−2)(t)+(−2)(4)(Distribute)

10t+4+−2t=2+−2t+−8

(10t+−2t)+(4)=(−2t)+(2+−8)(Combine Like Terms)

8t+4=−2t+−6

8t+4=−2t−6

Step 2: Add 2t to both sides.

8t+4+2t=−2t−6+2t

10t+4=−6

Step 3: Subtract 4 from both sides.

10t+4−4=−6−4

10t=−10

Step 4: Divide both sides by 10.

Hope this helps!

1. Let f(x, y) be a differentiable function in the variables x and y. Let r and θ the polar coordinates,and set g(r, θ) = f(r co
Olenka [21]

Answer:

g_{r}(\sqrt{2},\frac{\pi}{4})=\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}\\

Step-by-step explanation:

First, notice that:

g(\sqrt{2},\frac{\pi}{4})=f(\sqrt{2}cos(\frac{\pi}{4}),\sqrt{2}sin(\frac{\pi}{4}))\\

g(\sqrt{2},\frac{\pi}{4})=f(\sqrt{2}(\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}),\sqrt{2}(\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}))\\

g(\sqrt{2},\frac{\pi}{4})=f(1,1)\\

We proceed to use the chain rule to find g_{r}(\sqrt{2},\frac{\pi}{4}) using the fact that X(r,\theta)=rcos(\theta)\ and\ Y(r,\theta)=rsin(\theta) to find their derivatives:

g_{r}(r,\theta)=f_{r}(rcos(\theta),rsin(\theta))=f_{x}( rcos(\theta),rsin(\theta))\frac{\delta x}{\delta r}(r,\theta)+f_{y}(rcos(\theta),rsin(\theta))\frac{\delta y}{\delta r}(r,\theta)\\

Because we know X(r,\theta)=rcos(\theta)\ and\ Y(r,\theta)=rsin(\theta) then:

\frac{\delta x}{\delta r}=cos(\theta)\ and\ \frac{\delta y}{\delta r}=sin(\theta)

We substitute in what we had:

g_{r}(r,\theta)=f_{x}( rcos(\theta),rsin(\theta))cos(\theta)+f_{y}(rcos(\theta),rsin(\theta))sin(\theta)

Now we put in the values r=\sqrt{2}\ and\ \theta=\frac{\pi}{4} in the formula:

g_{r}(\sqrt{2},\frac{\pi}{4})=f_{r}(1,1)=f_{x}(1,1)cos(\frac{\pi}{4})+f_{y}(1,1)sin(\frac{\pi}{4})

Because of what we supposed:

g_{r}(\sqrt{2},\frac{\pi}{4})=f_{r}(1,1)=-2cos(\frac{\pi}{4})+3sin(\frac{\pi}{4})

And we operate to discover that:

g_{r}(\sqrt{2},\frac{\pi}{4})=-2\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}+3\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}

g_{r}(\sqrt{2},\frac{\pi}{4})=\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}

and this will be our answer

If y is 12 when x is 5, find x when y is 30
I am Lyosha [343]

We have no idea how 'x' responds to changes in 'y'.
We don't even know their units, to make a guess with.

-- If 'x' and 'y' are the ages of two people, then when y = 30, 'x' will be  23.

-- If they are the frequency and wavelength of a wave on the lake,
then when y = 30, 'x' will be  2 .

-- If 'x' is the weight of a rock in your front yard and 'y' is the number of pages
in today's newspaper, then 'y' has no effect on 'x'.  No matter what happens
to 'y' . . . 'x' will always be  5 .

With the information given in the question, we just don't know.

We need either an equation, or else one more example.
