So the rule with dividing exponents of the same base is to just subtract the exponents. Using this rule, we solve the equation as such:

\frac{p^{-4}q^5r^6}{p^{-3}q^1r^{-2}}=p^{-4-(-3)}q^{5-1}r^{6-(-2)}=p^{-1}q^4r^8

Next, assuming that you only want positive exponents, to get from a negative exponent to a positive one the rule is x^{-m}=\frac{1}{x^m} . Using this rule, your final answer is going to be \frac{q^4r^8}{p^1}

The product of a number and 4 increased by 16 is -2
Art [367]
The answer is -4.5

To solve these types of problems it's best to work backwards.
-2 - 16 = -18
4 x (n) = -18
n = -18/4
n = -4.5

jessica's mother gave her 70 chocolates to give to her friends. She gave 3 chocolates to each of her friends at the party and ha
Blizzard [7]

Answer:

She had 22 friends at her graduation party.

Step-by-step explanation:

70 chocolates total minus 3 chocolates times the number of friends she had at the party = 4

70-3x=4

Subtract 70 from both sides of the equation

-3x=4-70

Simplify

-3x=-66

Divide both sides of the equation by -3

-3x/-3=-66/-3

Simplify

x=22

Use the graph of the function to estimate the intervals on which the function is increasing or decreasing. (Enter your answers u

<h3>Function</h3>

A function can be classified as increasing or decreasing. Thus, a function is increasing when the y-values increase, on the other hand, a function is decreasing when the y-values decrease.

From the image, you can see that the y-values increase in the following x-intervals: from -∞ to -3 and from 0.5 to ∞. Using interval notation, you can write that the function is increasing in:

                                  ]-∞,-3[ U ]0.5,-∞[

From the graph, you can see that the y-values decrease in the following x-intervals: from -3 to 0.5. Using interval notation, you can write that the function is decreasing in:

                                         ]-3,0.5[
