The major difference between prokaryotes and eukaryotes is the presence or absence of membrane-bound organelles.

What are eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells?

Eukaryotic cells are cells that possess a membrane-bound nucleus and organelles while prokaryotic cells do not contain a membrane-bound nucleus or organelles.

Examples of eukaryotic cells are;

 • Plant cells
 • Animal cells
 • Protist cells

Examples of prokaryotic cells are;

 • Bacteria cells

The membrane bound organelles that differentiates prokaryotes from eukaryotes are as follows:

 • Chloroplast
 • Mitochondria
 • Endoplasmic reticulum
 • Nucleus

Therefore, the major difference between prokaryotes and eukaryotes is the presence or absence of membrane-bound organelles.

How might targeting rapidly growing cells explain common chemotherapy side effects such as hair loss and nausea
IrinaVladis [17]

Cancer cells are the cells that divide rapidly than any other cells in the body. The drugs used in chemotherapy work on rapidly dividing cancer cells. Some cells of our body apart from cancer cells also divide rapidly along with the cancer cells such as the cells that line the stomach and the digestive tract. Chemotherapy drugs cannot differentiate the cancer cells and the normal cells so these drugs also attack the normal cells which divide rapidly along with the cancer cells. The drugs also attack the cells that are present in the roots of the hair. So, this results in the hair loss. Hair loss does not occur immediately after the chemotherapy treatment instead it starts after few treatments. The degree of the hair loss after chemotherapy depends on the drug type and process. So when the chemotherapy drugs are used it results in the hair loss and nausea.

Therefore, when chemotherapy drugs attack normal cells including the roots of the hair instead of cancer cells that divide rapidly along with the cancer cells it results in the hair loss and nausea.

an advertisement on tv claims children grow faster with the use of vitamin gro. vitamin gro is a 25mg pill taken twice a day. th
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

Independent variable - vitamin gro and exercise routine.

Dependent variable - growth of children or nieces.

Explanation:

There are two variables present in an experiment called dependent and independent variables.

Independent variables are those variables which can be controlled in an experiment and dependent variables are those variables which are measured in the experiment under the influence of the independent variable.

In the given experiment, the independent variable will be vitamin gro and exercise routine and the dependent variable is the growth of children or nieces because vitamin gro and exercise routine can be controlled and growth of children is dependent on vitamin gro and exercise routine.

What practice should an obese individual on a diet carry out
erastova [34]

Some foods and eating patterns may make it easier to keep obesity in check. Healthy food choices and diet patterns that help prevent heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic conditions may also help to prevent weight gain.

Eat whole foods-whole grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts, healthful sources of protein (fish, poultry, beans), and plant oils. Processed food should be minimal. Limit sugared beverages, refined grains, potatoes, red and processed meats, and other highly processed foods, such as fast food.
