The scale factor of dilation is \LARGE \frac{1}{4}.

<h3>What is scale factor?</h3>

When describing an enlargement you must state by how much the shape has been enlarged or reduced.

Area of triangle B =\frac{1}{2} * b *h

                                = 0.5 x 2 x 3

                               = 3 units

Area of triangle A =\frac{1}{2} * b *h

                                = 0.5 x 4 x 6

                               = 12 units

Scale factor =\frac{Area of \; triangle B}{Area of\; triangle A}

                    =\frac{3}{12}

                    = \frac{1}{4}

Hence, the scale factor of dilation is \LARGE \frac{1}{4}.

Hey Kid!
Given:Length 14 cmWidth 7 cmHeigth 1.66 cm
Lateral area = 2lh + 2wh LA = 2(14cm)(1.66cm) + 2(7cm)(1.66cm) LA = 46.48 cm² + 23.24 cm² LA =  69.72 cm²
Surface area = 2(wl + hl + hw) SA = 2(7cm*14cm) + 2(1.66cm*14cm) + 2(1.66cm*7cm)SA = 196 cm² + 46.48 cm² + 23.24 cm²SA = 265.72 cm²
Hope this helps!

Plz to the 2 pic help me look at the 1 one and help on 2 one
stealth61 [152]

Hey, sorry this took so long for you to get an answer. Let me try.

<h2>Answers:</h2>

Part A: Answer choice C.

Part B: 6 people can come to the bowling alley.

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

For Part A, I've concluded that the answer is C. Ben can't spend more than $80, so it has to be equal to or less than 80. The flat fee is $45, and the cost per person is variable, $5.50p, so I combined all of those together and got <em>45+5.50p ≤ 80 .</em>

This is answer choice C.

And for Part B, I got 6. I got this answer from doing 80, the maximum cost, minus the flat rate, 45. Then, I divided this number by 5.50 to get the number of friends that could be paid for.  I originally got 6.3636... but I rounded down because you can't have 0.3636... of a friend to come to the bowling alley.

Hopefully this isn't too late. Good luck.
