Answer:

3.33

Step-by-step explanation:

In this case, the number we have is an even number so you can not choose the one in the middle so you would take those two and add the then divide them by how many numbers you have there which would be 6 in the case and then round it to the nearest decimal.

How do you use the order of operations to simplify expression with exponent
insens350 [35]
So the trick I was taught to use was PEMDAS which stands for Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction. You solve the parenthesis first, followed by exponents if there are any. Multiplication and division are equal. So if there's multiplication and division in the problem, you solve the one closest to the left or start of the equation first. The same rules apply for addition and subtraction. They are both equal so you solve the first one first, even if the subtraction is before the addition.

Which expression is equivalent to (2r2+r - 1) – (3r2+48 - 5)?
BigorU [14]

Answer:

-r^2-3r+4

Step-by-step explanation:

The question is to simplify the expression  (2r^2+r-1)-(3r^2+4r-5)

First, we can eliminate the 2nd parenthesis expression by changing signs of all the terms since there is a "-" sign in front. Then we add the "Like Terms". The process is shown below:

(2r^2+r-1)-(3r^2+4r-5)\\=2r^2+r-1-3r^2-4r+5\\=-r^2-3r+4

The first answer choices (has some typos) is correct. The correct answer is  -r^2-3r+4
