The mass of the aeroplane is 300,000 kg.

<h3>What is Newton's second law of motion?</h3>

It states that the force F is directly proportional to the acceleration a of the body and its mass.

The law is represented as

F =ma

where acceleration a = velocity change v / time interval t

Given is the aeroplane lands at a speed of 80 m/s. After landing, the aeroplane takes 28 s to decelerate to a speed of 10 m/s. The mean resultant force on the aeroplane as it decelerates is 750 000 N.

The force expression will be

F = mv/t

Substitute the values and we have

750000 = m x  (80 -10)/ 28

750,000 = m x 2.5

m = 300,000 kg

Thus, the mass of the aeroplane is 300,000 kg.

a milk carton filled with water is hanging from a string. what will happen if you punch two holes in opposite sides of the carto
marin [14]
When you punch holes in opposite corners of a milk carton filled with water which is hanging from a string, water will start to flow outside with a certain force. There will be a reaction equal and opposite to this force that will make the milk carton start to spin.

This is a typical example of water turbine that is used to demonstrate the third Newton's law.

In which situations is gravitational potential energy present?
Assoli18 [71]
Gravitational potential energy is associated with the shape or position of an object.
1.)When an object is placed at height h above ground, gravitational potential energy associated with it is given by,
P.E = mgh
2.)In projectile motion during upward motion, kinetic energy of object is converted into potential energy.

What force would be required to accelerate a 1,100 kg car to 0.5 m/s2? N
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Answer:

550 N

Explanation:

We can solve the problem by using Newton's second law:

F=ma

where

F is the force required to accelerate the car

m is the mass of the car

a is the acceleration of the car

In this problem, the mass is m=1100 kg, while the acceleration is a=0.5 m/s^2, therefore the force required to accelerate the car is

F=ma=(1100 kg)(0.5 m/s^2)=550 N

The earliest method of food preservation was the icebox. <br> a. True<br> b. False
fredd [130]
False, the ice box was invented in the 1930's, the earliest for of food preservation was probably a shaded place, cave or smoking the food. the earliest forms of food preservation are hard to prove and I don't know what they are either I was just making and educated guess.
