First, count up how many students there are in total. there are 15
then, count how many are shorter than 66 inches. 6 of the students are shorter than 66 inches.
now, to find the percentage, divide the number of students shorter than 66 inches by the total number of students and multiply by 100
6/15 = 0.4 * 100 = 40%

antoniya [11.8K]

Given:

The recipe calls for \dfrac{2}{3} cup of strawberries for each gallon of lemonade.

Tia has 6 cups of strawberries.

To find:

The number of gallons of lemonade she can make.

Solution:

We have,

\dfrac{2}{3} cup of strawberries for = 1 gallon of lemonade

1 cup of strawberries for = \dfrac{1}{\frac{2}{3}} gallons of lemonade

                                        = 1\times \dfrac{3}{2} gallons of lemonade

                                       = \dfrac{3}{2} gallons of lemonade

6 cup of strawberries for = 6\times \dfrac{3}{2} gallons of lemonade

                                         = \dfrac{18}{2} gallons of lemonade

                                        = 9 gallons of lemonade

Therefore, 9 gallons of lemonade she can make by using 6 cups of strawberries.

I got 16.8 , but she’ll need roughly 17 gallons of paint :)

how i did it :

1. so you know she’ll need 4/5 per book case, and there are 16 bookcases.
2. So you do 16 x 5, then you get 84
3. and you divide 84 by 5. and you’ll get 16.8, that’s how many gallons of paint she needs
